Creating a Study and conducting research with Rally is quick and easy. There is some additional setup you or your admin/manager can prepare in advance to further increase efficiency and ensure a professional, consistent experience for your Study Participants.

Prepare Key Components Before Creating Studies

We recommend that Ops Managers or Super Admins prepare these settings and elements in advance so they can be leveraged by your team. This saves you and your teammates significant time when creating Studies and allows you to ensure a professional, consistent experience for your Study Participants.

    • Utilize Salesforce or Snowflake integrations, CSV uploads, or manual entry to add People to your Rally CRM.

    • Create custom Properties to enrich Participant Profiles and narrow your ideal Participant groups for Studies and Panels.

    • Upload and manage custom Consent Forms and NDAs used for research Participant agreements.

    • Create custom Consent Forms and Opt-In Forms for Participant agreements to include in Studies, Email Templates, and custom emails.

    • Add Brand logos and colors to Rally to provide a better Participant experience with a consistent, professional look and feel.

    • Send bulk emails and provide a professional, branded experience for Participants by connecting custom domains.

    • Create custom, personalized email templates with branded communication for all email outreach and reminders used in Studies.

    • Create and save question templates to quickly and confidently build screeners and surveys in Studies.

    • Prevent over-contacting or over-incentivizing automatically with outreach and participation limits and rules, including preset and custom rules.

Create and Conduct an Interview Study

The steps below detail the order of operations to follow with links to each relevant article detailing the complete process and important information to be aware of.

    • Use your Rally CRM, a CSV upload, or manual entry to add relevant Participants to a Study before inviting them.

    • Send emails or share links to invite Participants to a Study after adding Participants relevant to your research.

    • Automatically qualify or disqualify Participants by using Conditional Logic in Screeners. Learn what each Screener Status means and where to view them.

    • Book, manage, and conduct interviews easily with Rally's robust native Scheduler and configuration features.

    • Understand how to navigate and manage Studies, add teammates, track progress, and more.

    • Send or resend incentives for Participants in Rally.

    • Determine when Studies are accessible to Participants and manage your team's research plans and priorities. Close Studies to disable editing, participant scheduling and participation once all research and follow-up tasks are complete, then Archive Studies after closing to keep your Studies page organized and up to date.
