Connect your Microsoft 365 account to Rally for efficient email, calendar management, and interview scheduling and management. Depending on the Workspace settings configured by your Rally Admin, you may only need to connect your calendar. This applies when a custom email domain has been set up as the preferred email method.

Connect to Microsoft 365

  1. In the top right corner of Rally, select your user icon and select 'Settings'.

  2. From the sidebar, select 'Connected Accounts'.

  3. To the right of Microsoft 365, select 'Connect Microsoft 365'.

  4. A popup will appear asking you to log into your Microsoft 365 account.

  5. After signing in, you’ll need to approve the requested permissions, listed in the table below.

  6. Confirm all required checkboxes are selected before clicking 'Continue' to avoid encountering connection errors.

  7. Once complete, your Microsoft 365 account should be connected and ready to use!

Admin Approval Requirement

Depending on your company's security requirements, after connecting your account to Rally you may see a message that you need admin approval before continuing. If you see this message, contact your IT department to request that they grant Rally access as an approved application for your organization.

Depending on your organization, here are the steps that IT may need to go through in order to approve Rally's M365 account for the whole organization.

  1. Add your IT as an Admin in Rally (currently the IT/Developer role doesn't have the right permissions for correctly setting up M365 connections). We're happy to add a temporary paid seat for the IT person - contact Rally Support for help!

  2. After the IT person has logged into Rally, they'll navigate to Connected Accounts (https://app.rallyuxr.com/r/settings/connected-accounts).

  3. Then, they'll click Connect Microsoft 365.

  4. When going through the connection flow, the most important part is to select the checkbox "Consent on behalf of your organization" before clicking "Accept."

  5. Optional, depending on M365 consent and permissions settings: Now, the Rally UXR app should be visible in Microsoft Entra admin center. The app id is: 1c7e3be3-dd7d-4f67-88ca-c9ea85f16092 - You're now able to add individual users or groups you want to give access to the Rally UXR app.
