Configure and manage various aspects of your Workspace in the Account section of Settings. This information will impact all users in your Workspace.
π¨ Modifying Account Settings requires "Create and modify workspace settings" permission. This includes the Rally default roles Admin or Ops Manager.
In the top left corner of Rally, select your workspace name and select Settings.
From the sidebar, select Account.
View more important information and instructions about each setting below.
After making any changes, always select Save changes in the top right to apply, or select Discard to abandon edits without saving.
Customize Workspace Name:
Modify the name of your workspace to make it more distinctive and relevant to your organization or project. We recommend using your company name, as this may be visible to your research participants.
Create a Unique Workspace URL:
Set a unique URL for your workspace, making it easier for you and your team to access and share. This will be visible to your research participants. This is not editable once set, as its used in the url for all pages and studies in your workspace.
Set Timezone for the Workspace:
Establish the default timezone for your entire Workspace. This ensures consistency in scheduling, timestamps, and other time-related functionalities across Rally. Don't worry, each teammate that joins Rally will be able to set their specific timezone and individual availability.
Allow anyone with an email with your company's email domain to login to Rally and join the workspace:
Turn this on to allow teammates to join your workspace and collaborate.
Role: Users that join this way are assigned the free Observer role type.
Team: Users that join this way won't be assigned a Team by default and can contact an Admin to be updated, or you can set a default Team here.
Admins can optionally set a Team to auto-assign these new users by default, such as a "Sandbox" team.
Allow email sending permission when connecting Google or Microsoft accounts:
Turn this on to allow users to send emails from their connected Google or Microsoft email accounts, or disable this if you have a custom domain connected to require users to send from company domain email senders.
Note: We do not ask for email sending permission for the Observer role.
π‘ If you've enabled the permission to "Allow anyone with an [@yourdomain.com] email to login to Rally and join this workspace," new users that join get th Observer role by default. They can then contact an Admin to have a Team assigned, or you can set a default Team for them to auto-join.
Review your Custom Email Domain and SSO status here once they've been set up. See if Single Sign-On is active, and follow the link as needed to Edit SSO Configuration.
