Workspace Account Settings

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Configure and manage various aspects of your Workspace in the Account section of Settings. This information will impact all users in your Workspace.

Modifying account settings requires "Create and modify workspace settings" permission. This includes the Rally default roles Admin or Ops Manager.

  1. In the top left corner of Rally, select your workspace name and select Settings.

  2. From the sidebar, select Account.

  3. Review the settings and instructions described below.

  4. After making any changes, always select Save changes in the top right to apply, or select Discard to abandon edits without saving.

Account

  • Company email domain

    • Set the email domain associated with your workspace (e.g., "company.com"). This domain determines which users are eligible to auto-join your workspace via the Allow anyone with an email with your company's email domain to login to Rally and join the workspace setting below. It becomes read-only once SSO is active.

  • Single Sign-On:

    • When Single Sign-On (SSO) is set up, the users in your company can log in to Rally using existing company credentials.

  • Customize workspace name:

    • Modify the name of your workspace to make it more distinctive and relevant to your organization or project. We recommend using your company name, as this may be visible to your research participants.

  • Workspace slug:

    • Your workspace's unique URL identifier (e.g., app.rallyuxr.com/your-workspace). This is automatically generated from your workspace name and is not editable once set, as it's used in the URL for all pages and studies in your workspace.

  • Set timezone for the workspace:

    • Establish the default timezone for your entire Workspace. This ensures consistency in scheduling, timestamps, and other time-related functionalities across Rally. Don't worry, each teammate that joins Rally will be able to set their specific timezone and individual availability.

  • Allow anyone with an '@yourdomain.com' email to login to Rally and join this workspace:

    • Turn this on to allow teammates to join your workspace and collaborate.

  • Auto-assign teams and permissions for domain users:

    • Select one or more teams to automatically assign to new users who join this way. If no team is selected, users won't be assigned a Team by default and can contact an Admin to be added.

  • Auto-assign a role for domain users:

    • Select which role new domain users joining Rally will receive to predetermine available permissions. All users joining this way initially receive the Observer role by default if not changed. Only "Free" seat types can be selected.

  • Allow email sending permission when connecting Google or Microsoft accounts:

    • Turn this on to allow users to send emails from their connected Google or Microsoft email accounts, or disable this if you have a custom domain connected to require users to send from company domain email senders.

We do not ask for email sending permission for the Observer role.

Review your Custom Email Domain and SSO status here once they've been set up. See if Single Sign-On is active, and follow the link as needed to Edit SSO Configuration.
