Manage Study Templates

View and manage study templates at the workspace level to see all templates, or from within a team to see only that team's templates.


View and edit a study template

  1. Navigate to Templates from the left navigation bar.

  2. Select the name of a template to open it in the study builder.

  3. Make your changes, then select Update template in the top right to save.

    • To review all unsaved changes before updating, select # edits made in the top right. From there you can also select Undo edits to revert.

  4. To discard changes without saving, select Exit in the top left and confirm Discard.

Note: Changes made to a template do not update studies that were already created from it.

Edit a template's name or access permissions

  1. Navigate to Templates from the left navigation bar.

  2. Select the three dots (…) action button to the right of the template.

  3. Select Edit metadata.

  4. Update the Template name or Access setting as needed.

  5. Save your changes.


Duplicate a study template

  1. Navigate to Templates from the left navigation bar.

  2. Select the three dots (…) action button to the right of the template and select Duplicate.

  3. Enter the details for the new template:

    • Template name: Enter a descriptive name for easy identification.

    • Access: Choose whether the Entire workspace has access or if Only specific teams have access

  4. Select Duplicate to open the study builder and begin editing.

  5. Configure each section as needed.

  6. On the final Review step, select Create template to publish it as Active. To save as a draft and finish later, select Save & Exit.


Delete a study template

  1. Navigate to Templates from the left navigation bar.

  2. Select the three dots (…) action button to the right of the template and select Delete.

  3. Confirm Delete.

Deleting a template is permanent and cannot be undone.
