Every person added to a Rally study receives a unique Participant ID to safely and securely identify them and their participation in the study.
Share Participant IDs when you contact Rally Support with a question or need help to can safely reference specific participants/people without sharing their name or email.
Participant ID is a study-specific Rally-generated property - meaning that a person will have a different Participant ID for each study they are added to.
Add Participant ID as a column to any table within a study.
Filter by Participant ID on any table within a study.
Copy Participant ID to share with Rally Support for extra secure assistance.
Add Participant ID Column in Studies
Within any study, add Participant ID as a column to see people's unique identifiers.
Within a study, select Columns.
Search for and select Participant ID to add it.
New columns are added at the end of the table - scroll to the right side and resize the column as needed to view the full contents. To move the column, drag and drop the header.
Triple-click on the id value to highlight it - be sure the entire value is highlighted!
Use command + c to copy to your clipboard, or right-click and select Copy.
π‘ Want to see Participant ID throughout the whole study? After adding it to the main Participants page, select the Save button > Save Changes to apply your table view edits to all the following pages, so this column will persist in each table as people move through the study.
π‘ Participant ID can be added to the Outbox > All Emails tab, where you can view all emails sent within the context of a study and check their status.
Filter by Participant ID in Studies
Within any study, filter by Participant ID to find people. Compare results from research integrations, like Qualtrics or Ballpark, where Rally Participant ID is passed.
Within a study, select Filters.
Select + Add filter.
Search for and select Participant ID, and then paste a Participant ID into the text field to filter. Don't forget to remove your filter when you're done using it!
