After building a Panel in Rally, you may wish to periodically run a Panel refresh Survey to ensure your Panelist data stays fresh and updated or to capture a few new data points on Panelists to enrich your Participant database.
There are multiple methods and places in Rally to do this. The process is similar, but varies slightly depending on where you choose to begin. You can select Panelists to create a new Study with or add them to an existing Study. Either flow can be completed from the Panels, Studies, or People pages in Rally. Learn more in each section below.
From Panels: Add Panelists to a New or Existing Study
Navigate to Panels from the top navigation bar in Rally and select the relevant Panel name to open it and view all Panelists.
Select the top checkbox to select all Panelists, or use filters to narrow your search before making your selections.
Add Panelists to a new Study by creating one now, or add them to an existing Study.
Add Panelists to a new Study:
Select the 'Add to New Study' button at the top of the table.
In the popup, enter a name for your Study and select the 'Survey' Study type.
Select 'Continue' to create your new Study as a draft.
Follow the steps in Create A Survey Study to build your Study out, completing each section, including Plan, Survey, Emails, Share, and Review. Once completed and reviewed, select 'Create Study' to publish it.
Add Panlists to an existing Study:
Select the '+ Add to Study' button at the top of the table.
Next, follow the steps in the Create and Conduct a Survey Study section of our Creating Studies in Rally article to begin conducting research.
After the Panelists you've invited to the Study submit their Survey responses, their Properties will automatically be updated or added to further enrich their Participant Profiles and ensure your data stays fresh.
From People: Add Panelists to a New or Existing Study
Navigate to People from the top navigation bar in Rally and select the relevant Panel name from the sidepanel to view all Panelists.
Select the top checkbox to select all Panelists, or use filters to narrow your search before making your selections.
Add Panelists to a new Study by creating one now, or add them to an existing Study.
Add Panelists to a new Study:
Select the 'Add to New Study' button at the top of the table.
In the popup, enter a name for your Study and select the 'Survey' Study type.
Select 'Continue' to create your new Study as a draft.
Follow the steps in Create A Survey Study to build your Study out, completing each section, including Plan, Survey, Emails, Share, and Review. Once completed and reviewed, select 'Create Study' to publish it.

In the top right, select the 'Add People' button.
In the popup, select the 'Filters' button and '+ Add Filter' to add a filter where "Panels" + "contains" + "[select the Panel Name]" to only view relevant Panelists.
Select the top checkbox to select all Panelists, or add additional filters to narrow your search before making your selections.
Select the 'Add Selected (#)' button in the top right to add them to your Study.
Proceed with your Study as usual, or follow the steps in the Create and Conduct a Survey Study section of our Creating Studies in Rally article to begin conducting research.

Select the 'Add Selected (#)' button in the top right to add them to your Study.
